Right to continue to work pending renewal GVVA (Single Permit)
As of 5 April 2017 employees holding a GVVA (Single Permit for Residence and Work) are allowed to continue working pending the renewal application. This was prohibited.
To have this right:
– The application has to be filed prior to expiry date of the current permit;
– The employee has to do the same work for the same employer;
– The employee must have a VA-sticker (Sticker Stay Notification) in his passport so that he can show that he is allowed to work pending the renewal.
A VA-sticker is issued at local IND Offices upon appointment.
