Dutch Employment of Foreigners Act more strict

The Dutch government plans to sharpen the Employment of Foreigners Act (Wav) on several aspects. Under the current Act, foreigners who have been a holder for three consecutive years  of a residence permit for the purpose of work, will no longer face any labour market restriction. The government is planning to extend this period from three to five years. Another plan is to also impose a labour market test for the extension of a regular work permit.
