EU citizens no longer need to register at Immigration Service
EU/EEA and Swiss nationals residing and working in the Netherlands will no longer need to register themselves at the Immigration and Naturalisation Service as of 16 July 2014. This duty was in practise already lifted since 6 January 2014. The duty to register themselves at the city hall continues to exist.
The obligation EU/EEA and Swiss nationals to register themselves however continues exist if a non-EU family member wishes to apply for a residence card to stay with the EU/EEA and Swiss national.
