The 2022 salary threshold for eligibility for an European Blue Card and a residence permit to work as a highly skilled migrant have been published (Dutch).

The new salary thresholds with effect from 1 January 2022 are as follows:

• European Blue Card: €5,670
• Highly skilled migrant from the age of 30: € 4,840
• Highly skilled migrants under the age of 30: € 3,549
• Recent graduates (search year): € 2,543

These salary thresholds are gross per month and excluding 8% holiday allowance.

Additional condition regarding salary payment

The salary that the European Blue Card holder and highly skilled migrant earns must be paid each month in the month in which they work. This salary must also be transferred to a bank account in the name of the employee.
