High net worth individual permit conditions less strict

The conditions to obtain the ‘Golden Visa’, or high net worth individual permit in are getting less strict to attract more high net worth individuals to The Netherlands. No longer is required a statement from the accountant that the origin of wealth is from good origin. Also no longer required is that the high net worth individual invests the amount of € 1,25 million in a company with an innovative character. Required in that case is that 10 jobs are created. Another change is that the permit is issued in first instance for three years in stead of one year. These changes will enter into force 1 July 2016.

The Secretary of State has decided to amend the current admission rules because until now only one high net worth individual permit is granted. Sander Groen from Kroes Advocaten has assisted with obtainment of this permit.
